MY STORY
MidgeHyde: Artist / Curator / Director
Midge Hyde was born and raised in San Diego, CA and graduated from San Diego State University with a fine arts/liberal arts degree. She also studied at the University Hamburg, Germany and Chelsea College, London, England.
She is fascinated with color and the way it influences the canvas narrative.
Whether the subject is more realistic or abstract, she enjoys the journey. She has artwork in collections in Hamburg, Montreal, Kuwait, Los Angeles , New York and San Diego.
Midge was a member of Women's Caucus for Art and is now a member of East County art Association.

MY WORK
Midge is currently curator/director of the "On the Edge" Gallery, La Mesa, CA. Midge has had 5 solo shows including an invitational to Azuza Pacific University in L.A.
Midge has painted murals, many electrical boxes and relishes the total art experience . She was listed on the Manchester Who”s Who in 2007 and was inducted into the National Honor Society as a senior at SDSU.
Midge has taught children and adult art classes in San Diego for many years in after school programs, Montesauri programs and at the Children's Museum, San Diego, CA.
